Vivint Solar Continues Massachusetts Expansion

Vivint solar continues its expansion into three more areas in Massachusetts. Vivint, which has installed more residential PV systems in Massachusetts than any other company, says it will hire up to 240 employees in the new locations.

Vivint Solar, now the second-largest U.S. residential solar installer, is continuing its rapid expansion. Yesterday, the company announced its expansion into the Taunton, Marlborough, and Holyoke areas of Massachusetts. It’s a state primed for increasing solar development, so Vivint will be positioned well to continue its high-profile presence there.

According to Greentech Media Research’s Q3 2013 Leaderboard, Vivint has installed more residential PV systems in Massachusetts than any other company. Vivint says it will hire up to 240 employees in the new locations, bringing more jobs to the area.

“We are excited to bring our simple, affordable solar offering to more Bay State residents who are looking to save money on their power bills by using their roofs for more than just shingles,” said Chance Allred, vice president of sales at Vivint Solar. “We’ll continue our commitment to growing the Massachusetts market, as rooftop solar continues to gain acceptance as a preferred energy choice of budget-savvy homeowners.”

“The process so far with Vivint Solar has been great,” said Karen Lococo, a Vivint Solar customer and resident of Chalmshead, Massachusetts. “The people we have worked with have been excellent and the fact that we didn’t have to pay anything up front was a big plus. The realization that it was going to save us money on our utility bill was excellent for us.”

A few facts about Vivint in Massachusetts:

Vivint Solar designs, installs, monitors, and services the system with no additional out-of-pocket costs to the homeowner.
