Sunrun Thanks 100,000th Customer


This week, Sunrun celebrated the installation of its 100,000th residential system. To date, Sunrun’s systems have created 1.3 TW of clean energy. 

That’s enough energy to power the entire city of San Francisco for 72 days. Or to brew 5 billion cups of coffee.

Sunrun’s customers have collectively saved over $100 million on their electricity bills.

These are some pretty impressive numbers for a company that started out selling its products at county fairs and farmer’s markets.

Today, Sunrun has grown to provide solar to homeowners nationwide.

“Sunrun is proud to have helped over 100,000 customers enjoy the benefits of clean solar power and pay less for their electricity,” said Lynn Jurich, chief executive officer of Sunrun. “We strive to create an excellent customer experience to earn and keep our customers’ loyalty, and we look forward to helping even more families make the switch to solar and save money.”

The 100,000 customer was the Noren family. Sunrun surprised them at their home to celebrate the honor.
