PetersenDean Satisfies Consumers’ Desire to Own Systems with American-Made Panels

PetersenDean announces its “American Only” solar brand will begin offering solar rebates throughout California, for customers who purchase their solar systems. The program offers the benefits of ownership plus American-made panels.

When it comes to residential solar, there’s something for everyone. For those who want to own their system, and want it to use American-made materials, there are more options these days.

A prominent one is from roofer and residential solar provider PetersenDean. Jim Petersen, CEO and founder, announced today that his “American Only” solar brand will begin offering solar rebates throughout California on July 1, 2014. The program will offer cash rebates to consumers who purchase their solar power systems rather than lease or enter into a PPA. And it’s well funded, starting with a cash fund of $5 million that can grow from there.

The company recently announced a partnership with SolarWorld as a key element of Solar4America, PetersenDean’s initiative to support American jobs, manufacturing, and energy independence by sourcing solar panels and all system components from domestic producers. The partners are providing an option for the increasing numbers of consumers who prefer American-made solar panels. And as huge as leases have been for residential solar adoption, there are always people who would rather own than lease their system. This program satisfies both of those consumer desires.

“We are absolutely delighted to be the first, the one and only American only solar brand to be able to offer a cash rebate incentive program to consumers that want to own the benefits of solar savings. Our Power Saver solar products are flying off the shelves and now to be able to further offer incentives to more and more consumers is a dream come true. We see this new one of a kind program capable of scaling across the entire United States,” said Petersen.
